[subtitle] Come and discover the summer in Val di Fassa [/subtitle]
From June onwards when the summer season opens, the Fassa Valley becomes hiking territory and the centre of Vigo di Fassa transforms itself into a busy departure point for various levels of itinerary, from simple strolls at the bottom of the valley to the most demanding hikes higher up.
Simply exit the hotel, reach the town centre in 5 minutes, take the Rosengarten cableway and in a few moments you will reach the top of the Ciampedie. Here you will be treated to a panorama that words cannot describe: the peaks of the Rosengarten, the Vajolet towers, the Marmolada and the most beautiful summits of the Dolomites.
When you get your breath back, you can choose the hike that best suits your requirements from the wide range available.
Our favourites are the route towards the Vajolet across Gardeccia or the continuation towards the Antermoia, the highest peak of the Rosengarten group, or towards the Roda di Vael. The Buffaure Hiking Centre can also be accessed easily via the Pozza di Fassa ski-lifts.
In addition to hiking, the Fassa Valley is also the ideal destination for cycling enthusiasts. 5 minutes away from our hotel there is a cycle path that stretches around 48 km from Pozza di Fassa to Moena over green meadows and through magnificent mountains.
If you are a fan of more extreme activities, you will be spoilt for choice. From mountaineering – climbing a mountain right to its summit- to climbing – scaling a natural or artificial rock surface- from paragliding to rafting, the descent in a dinghy along the rapids of the Avisio torrent.
[subtitle]Come and enjoy the winter in Val di Fassa[/subtitle]
In winter, the Fassa Valley becomes the homeland of all levels of skiers, from beginners to experts. More than 200 kilometres of routes divided into 9 skiing areas with 78 ski slopes, all modern and fully-equipped. And for fans of cross-country skiing, more than 70 kilometres of routes divided into circuits and courses of various lengths.
Skiing in the Fassa Valley among the Dolomites, the most beautiful mountains in the world, is a truly unique experience, and something everyone should try at least once in a lifetime.
From the centre of Vigo di Fassa, the Rosengarten cableway takes you straight to the Ciampedie in the space of a few minutes: here you are sure to find snow even as early as the end of November thanks to a state-of-the-art artificial snow system.
At the Ciampedie there is also a large play park for your little ones: here children can play in the snow or venture out on skis for the very first time, under the watchful eye of the instructors and playleaders of the Vigo ski school.
For those who want to explore new horizons, we suggest trying the unrivalled emotions of a walk on snowshoes, special rackets that allow you to move easily over the snow. The best experience of all is snowshoeing at sundown when the surrounding scenery begins to acquire magic shades of colour.
The keener sportsmen amongst you can also try ski touring or snowboarding. Indeed, the Fassa Valley has set aside 4 areas dedicated to fans of snowboarding and freestyle skiing, where they can try their hand at jumps and acrobatic tricks in the snow.
